5/31/2010 - Break and Enter - Hampton

N.B. Crime Stoppers and the Hampton RCMP are looking for the person or persons responsible for breaking into two local businesses at 550 Main Street in Hampton, N.B.

Sometime during the evening of January 2, 2008, thieves broke into Jerry’s Barber Shop and an adjacent video store. Once inside the barber shop, they broke through a common wall giving them access to “Five Sons Video” next door. The suspects stole several thousand dollars worth of cigarettes, lottery tickets and cash from the video store. Both businesses suffered extensive structural damage.

5/24/2010 - Break, Enter and Theft - Petit Rocher

N.B. Crime Stoppers and the B.N.P.P. Regional Police Force are looking for the person or persons responsible for a break, enter and theft at 583 rue Roy in Petit-Rocher, N.B.

Sometime between Monday, June 29 and Tuesday, June 30, 2009, thieves broke into a residence in Petit Rocher and made off with several items. The intruders stole a fire safe containing a large amount of cash, a Dell computer, two passports, a Dartin compound bow and arrow and several other items. The value of the items taken and damage to the property is estimated to be $10,000.00.N.B.

5/10/2010 - Arson Investigation - Mactaquac

Crime Stoppers and the Keswick Detachment of the District 2 RCMP are looking for the person or persons responsible for setting fire to a structure in Mactaquac, New Brunswick in May 2009.

On Saturday, May 9, 2009, at approximately 5:00 a.m., Keswick RCMP and local firefighters responded to a fire at the golf course lodge in Mactaquac Provincial Park. The fire is believed to have started on the exterior wall at the back of the building. Fortunately, firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze on time and the lodge was only partially destroyed.

4/26/2010 - Arsons - Kedgwick

Crime Stoppers and the Saint-Quentin RCMP are looking for the persons responsible for setting two fires in Kedgwick, New Brunswick.

 

On Friday February 20, 2009 and on Wednesday March 18, 2009 the Saint-Quentin RCMP and Kedgwick fire fighters responded to two separate fires at "Le Casse-Croûte du coin" located at 64 Notre Dame Street in Kedgwick. The investigation revealed that both fires were purposely set. Damages incurred on both occasions were severe. In one incident, two suspects were captured on a security camera inside the building. Police are asking the public for information that may help solve these cases of arson.

4/12/2010 - Arson - Bouctouche

Crime Stoppers and the District 5 RCMP, Bouctouche Detachment are looking for the person or persons responsible for setting a fire at a famous tourist attraction in Bouctouche, New Brunswick.

 

On Wednesday October 22nd 2008, at approximately 10:45 pm, the Bouctouche RCMP and fire fighters responded to a fire at the "Ordre du Bon Temps", which includes the restaurant and theater at the " Pays de la Sagouine". They, along with their contents were completely destroyed. An investigation later revealed that the fire started on the patio of the restaurant, was suspicious in nature. The estimated loss is in the millions of dollars and police are asking the public for help in solving this suspected case of arson.

4/5/2010 - Outdoor Marijuana Grow Ops

N.B. Crime Stoppers and the RCMP Coordinated Marihuana Enforcement Team are asking the public to be vigilant and report suspicious activity relating to outdoor marijuana grow operations.

 

Marijuana growers plant marijuana on their own property, but they often use Crown Land in an attempt to avoid prosecution. Marijuana plants are usually grown in clumps in large areas, and are sometimes surrounded by chicken wire to prevent damage from animals. Other vegetation is often used to camouflage the marijuana plants, and a water supply is usually nearby.To get to and from the plants, growers will often use ATV and walking trails. Unsuspecting people have been known to locate a marijuana grow op, simply by accident or, by recognizing the “skunk like” odour that marijuana plants produce.

3/29/2010 - Theft From Safe - Nigadoo

Crime Stoppers and the B.N.P.P. Regional Police Force are looking for three people responsible for stealing money from a store at 259 rue Principale in Nigadoo, N.B.

 

On Sunday, July 20, 2008 at approximately 3:40 p.m., three individuals entered H.P. Haché General Convenience Store and stole cash from the business safe. The incident was captured on the store’s surveillance camera. On the video, two suspects were seen distracting the owner of the store with one serving as a look out and a third suspect entering the office and stealing the contents of the safe. The loss is estimated to be $5,000.00.

3/22/2010 - Armed Robbery - Sackville

Crime Stoppers and District 4 RCMP, Sackville Detachment, are looking for the individual responsible for an armed robbery which took place at 222 Main Street in Sackville, New Brunswick on Thursday, August 30, 2007.

 

At approximately 4:00 a.m., a female employee arrived at the restaurant to begin her shift. As she unlocked the door, a man holding a black handgun approached her from behind and told her to take him to the office. She told him that she had no key to the office and was then taken to the back of the restaurant where her hands were tied behind her back with duct tape. The manager arrived 1 hour later and was told to hand over the contents of the safe and the night deposit. The manager was then tied up and laid face down on the floor. The suspect fled the scene. If you think you recognize the person in this depiction, you can help the police solve this case of armed robbery.

3/15/2010 - Hit and Run Causing Death - Petit Rocher

Crime Stoppers and the B.N.P.P. Regional Police Force are looking into a cold case file for information on a hit and run causing death in Petit-Rocher, N.B. More than 25 years ago. 

 

On December 15, 1983, at approximately 1 a.m., the B.N.P.P. responded to a hit and run call on Highway 134 in Petit-Rocher North. Officers arrived on the scene to find 20-year-old Lévio Roy lying on the side of the road severely injured. Lévio Roy later died in hospital from injuries sustained in the hit and run. Police believe there is someone who has information that could help solve this case of hit and run causing death.

3/1/2010 - Disposal of Debris/ Garbage on Crown Lands

Crime Stoppers and the Department of Natural Resources are asking the public for their help in resolving an on-going problem on Crown Lands.

Disposing of debris, gagbage, construction material, or vehicles on Crown Lands is an offence under the Crown Lands and Forests Act.  Any person convicted of this offence could be fined a minimum of $500.00 for the first offense, and may be ordered to restore the land to its original state.  This problem is not restricted to Crown Lands.  Numerous private land owners have also experienced an increase in this illegal activity.

Disposing of debris can be harmful to wildlife and a risk for forest fires.  If near watercourses, it can become an environmental problem.  Help keep New Brunswick clean, and report those who litter.
