Each year Crime Stoppers programs around the world celebrate Crime Stoppers Month in January to highlight their successes and promote one of the largest Crime fighting program in the world.

Our program celebrated its 22nd anniversary in October 2007. As President of New Brunswick Crime Stoppers Inc., it is my distinct honor to express my gratitude to everyone who has made NB Crime Stoppers Inc. what it is today. To the citizens, the media and law enforcement agencies who have been collaborating to solve and prevent crime in our province, I salute you.

Does the program work? It certainly does. Since its inception in 1985, NB Crime Stoppers has helped solve 6827 cases, 7864 people have been arrested, over 6.7 million dollars in stolen property has been recovered and an estimated street value of $46 million dollars worth of drugs have been seized because of tips received at the Crime Stoppers
office.

As a reminder, during the months of January and February 2008, Fenety Marketing Services of Moncton NB will be conducting a telephone appeal throughout NB in order to raise funds for the continued success and effectiveness of this Crime fighting program.
